| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The Engineering Department opened bids on June 27, 2024 for the Water Rehab - River Bend Phase 1 project. The project includes the construction for the replacement or installation of approximately 14,200 LF of 10", 8" and 6" existing water lines and to include all related appurtenances along the following streets: Anatole Court, Atrium Drive, Indigo Drive, Inverness Lane, Irvine Drive, Lattice Court, Promontory Point, Serene Place, Solarium Place, Tennis Place, Trellis Lane, Trilogy Drive, and Woodburn Corners in the River Bend Estates neighborhood. The project also includes the replacement of deteriorated concrete pavement, sidewalks, and barrier free ramps throughout the neighborhood.
The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by DDM Construction Corporation, in the amount of $6,581,735. There were a total of 1,386 vendors notified of this project. Six (6) complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.
If this project is not awarded, it will result in continued intermittent service interruptions, additional maintenance costs, and a reduction in quality of life for local residents. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is planned in the Street Improvements CIP and the Water CIP for 2024-25 and 2025-26, as well. Construction services for the Water Rehab - River Bend Phase 1 project, in the total amount of $6,581,735, will leave a balance of $216,745 for future expenditures.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
