BACKGROUND

Plano Fire-Rescue currently uses Stryker LIFEPAK 15 cardiac and respiratory monitors. These cardiac monitors have surpassed their planned life cycle. Stryker LIFEPAK 35 cardiac and respiratory monitors feature enhanced patient monitoring capabilities as well as better cardiac assessment tools. Plano Fire-Rescue is seeking approval to replace Stryker LIFEPAK 15 monitors with forty-one (41) Stryker LIFEPAK 35 monitors.

If approved, these devices will be placed on our front-line engine, truck, and medic units.

The estimated amount for this expenditure is $1,366,482 and funding is available in the Fire Equipment Replacement Fund.

Failure to award the purchase will result in Plano Fire-Rescue not having these devices on our engine, truck, and medic units. These units will need to be replaced at a later date.
