This annual supply contract is to ensure the availability of risers for manhole rings and valve stacks required when installing the asphalt overlays on major thoroughfares throughout the City.  Obtaining a reliable supply of these items through the City Warehouse, ensures the Public Works Department can execute their projects timely and maintain the City's infrastructure effectively.

It is the recommendation from Inventory Control/Asset Disposal (ICAD) and Public Works to award 2024-0183-B to Consolidated Pipe and Supply. There was a total of three vendors who participated providing bids and upon evaluation it was determined that Consolidated Pipe and Supply provided the lowest responsive, responsible bid for this contract.

Estimated total annual expenditure for this contract is $302,383.

Failure to award this contract would result in possible unavailability, longer lead times, and increased procurement costs.

Funding is available in the 2023-24 Warehouse Fund for a one (1) year contract with four (4) one-year automatic renewals to purchase inventory stock items to support the Public Works Utility Operations Division, in the estimated annual amount of $302,383. Future expenditures are dependent on renewals, in the estimated annual amount of $302,383 for the 2024-25 through 2027-28 Warehouse Budgets.  All future year expenditures will occur within council approved appropriations.
