This City Council Meeting will be held in person in the Senator Florence Shapiro Council Chambers and via videoconference.  A  quorum of the City Council, including the presiding officer, will participate in person.  The facility will be open to members of the public.

 

For those wanting to watch the meeting but not address the Council, the meeting will be live-streamed on Plano's website at www.planotv.org and Facebook.com/cityofplanotx.

Online registration opens at 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the meeting and closes at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. This portion of the meeting is to allow up to three (3) minutes per speaker with thirty (30) total minutes on items of interest or concern and not on items that are on the current agenda. The Council may not discuss these items, but may respond with factual or policy information. The Council may choose to place the item on a future agenda.

(l)To approve an expenditure for Microsoft Unified Advanced Support for a one (1) year agreement for Technology Solutions in the amount of $142,328 from Microsoft Corporation; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved
Adoption of Resolutions
VIDEO(m)To provide the City Manager authority related to procurement decisions necessary for issues that arise due to supply chain issues; and providing an effective date. Tabled to February 13, 2023 to include an expiration date.

To accept the findings and opinions of the Annual Audit; authorizing the City Manager, or in his absence the Director of Finance, to publish the results thereof; and providing an effective date. Adopted Resolution No. 2023-1-9(R).

 

Adoption of Ordinances
(o)To order an election to be held on May 6, 2023, for the purpose of electing four (4) Members of Council, Place No. 1 (District 1), Place No. 3 (District 3), Place No. 5 and Place No. 7 to the City Council to hold office for a period of four years; designating locations of polling places; ordering notices of election to be given as prescribed by law in connection with such election; and, if needed, any subsequent runoff election; and providing an effective date. Adopted Ordinance No. 2023-1-10.
(p)

To amend Section 12-101, Prohibited on certain streets at all times, of Article V, Stopping, Standing and Parking, Chapter 12, Motor Vehicles and Traffic, of the City of Plano Code of Ordinances to establish no parking zones along sections of the north and south sides of 13th/14th Connector, within the city limits of the City of Plano; and providing a penalty clause, a repealer clause, a severability clause, a savings clause, a publication clause, and an effective date. Adopted Ordinance No. 2023-1-11.

Municipal Center is wheelchair accessible.  A sloped curb entry is available at the main entrance facing Municipal/L Avenue, with specially marked parking spaces nearby.  Access and special parking are also available on the north side of the building.  The Senator Florence Shapiro Council Chambers is accessible by elevator to the lower level.  Requests for sign interpreters or special services must be received forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting time by calling the City Secretary at 972-941-7120.
